Hybrid Karoq

Featured Replies

Does anyone know whether a hybrid Karoq is in the pipeline at all?

VAG seem a bit behind in the area given their size.

Skoda CZ might know or more likely VW Germany.

19 new models coming, or 9, Electrification and Hybrids, so something is in the pipeline, sometime maybe.

They have the Superb & Octavia Hybrid to get out and the Kodaiq that can use the VW Passat bits that might be going spare before they go to smaller models.

Then the e-Citigo to get out or at least shown before the end of the year and the Vision iV.

Scala & Kamiq without a Hybrid as well to get out on sale.   So a Karoq hybrid might come after what ever VW, Audi or SEAT get as a small Crossover.

It's weird that they are so slow with this, yet they have developed new performance diesel engines for some fast Audis.  Makes no sense.

A karoq with something like a combined 220bhp (150bhp petrol and 70bhp electric motor) would be great if it could also deliver a real world 50mpg.

They messed up 1.5 TSI EVO's just to get the WLTP Approval they were so behind the curve.

Then the DQ200 DSG's.

At least pulling away on the Electric Motor would sort out the 'kangarooing'.

More likely to see 1.0TSI''s with 115ps and Hybrid in Kamiq / Scala / Karoq then 150ps 1.5TSI ACT Hybrids.

They developed Audi Hybrid Diesels. All that Endurance Racing R&D and Billions spent.

VW Group / Audi built plants to build them in Hungary and South America, then the Emissions scandal came and now they are going Hybrid Petrol & EV.

Years behind the competition.

If you want a Hybrid or EV Built in the Czech Republic or Slovakia with a good warranty and proven reliability then Hyundai / KIA are the ones to look at.

VW Group can not even get enough Batteries and Motors manufactured to satisfy orders for the very expensive new Audi's.

The Niro Hybrid is nippy with the 1.6 petrol with139 bhp and Dual Clutch Auto.

66 Plates selling at under £17,000.
