Skoda Octavia MK2 going into limp mode

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

My skoda octavia mk2 2006 keeps going into limp mode. I have had diagnostic check. I am getting 564 engine code - boost preassure regulation. 5658 - glow plug cyl 1. 5659 - glow plug cyl 2. 5784 - steering wheel memory. Any one had same experiencies ?

Thank you

Peter

Needs a Mr Muscle enema.

glowplugs will need changing but no urgency, had that also, steering wheel memory only when battery has been disconnected.

A question for you, when it goes into limpmode can you get back full power by flicking the ignition on and off quickly while driving or does it need the fault code removing?

On my MK1 I did the above for 15 years between enemas, not had it happen yet on my MK2 same year as yours, hope its the same protocol.

On my MK1 I could avoid the overboost by driving slowly with minimum boost and throttle openings during the warm up period in winter, early spring and late autumn, about now was the time it would only happen if I really gave it large within the first mile.

Yes it goes back to full power when I switch ignition off and on.
