Stage 2 remap - 2014 Skoda Octavia 2.0TDI 184 VRS

Featured Replies

Hi guys!

I've got a 2014 Skoda Octavia 2.0TDI 184 VRS. It's manual, FWD. The logbook says DSG/4WD - which it clearly isn't. It's currently got stage 1 remap, bringing it up to about 220bhp. It's pretty quick as is, but it could always be quicker, right?

I was thinking about stage 2 remap and just wanted to see if anyone here has one of these with stage 2 remap? I would like to know which parts (turbo, clutch, intercooler, exhaust, injectors etc) have to be upgraded, what were the prices and where they could be found. Also any other advice relating to the upgrades are definitely appreciated!

I live in Ireland so getting a car that's already quicker like a 3L diesel or petrol VRS is not really an option due to the prices of insurance and cars over here.

Thanks!

These should give you an idea of the limitations of the engine and what they can do

If you are desperate for more power you could go exhaust, intake and intercooler then get a custom map.  Could you look at making it lighter and/or upgrading bits like brakes/wheel/suspension?
