Rory Reid again big ups the Skoda Citigo iV,

but it is strange not to mention the SEAT Mii electric or VW e-Up! as sister vehicles even if he has not driven them as Robert Llewellyn has reviewed the VW.

Can't get a Citigo iV anyways....

@Luckypants   What i was thinking is, maybe if Rory Reid had ever driven an UP!MiiCitigo with a petrol engine he would have known would a great city / driving car they were and what good value for money.

Maybe someplace he has driven a Up! GTI, and if not he should.

I sometimes think we should have gone to left hand drive just after the Swedes flipped over.

Must be a pain on the production line switching over to a production run of RHD cars ever so often.

RHD cars cost several percent more to make and then there is the fact they are not sold in Euros.

No wonder we get a limited choice of cars and oft longer lead times.

It is not like the right hand drive cars are only destined for the UK, there are some pretty big markets around the globe wanting right hand drive and manufacturing countries like Japan that build cars in left and right hand drive in European countries..

About 3/4 of cars are made LHD on a world wide basis with India and Japan being quite big but most other RHD markets are quite small.

In Europe it would be more like 90% are LHD.

Perhaps we should have taken a cue from McLaren and built cars with centrally placed steering wheel as in the 1990s F1 road car.

Acting like an arse was OK in small measures but maybe time to cool it.

Then do not talk crap about miles and kilometers until the UK does change which is likely never.

The Model Y sounds like it will be a huge success in Europe and we probably would have wanted it before the Model 3 but then Elon is calling the tuning presumably.

If the Berlin factory is going to be churning this out then how much will be the landed cost in the UK post BREXIT.

The LEAF may look more competitive as long as Nissan remain here and do not move to Europe mainland which has to be a worry.

Sub £25k for a 40 kWh LEAF now on Carwow, or 64 kWh LEAF for less than £400 a month but not exact a bargain.

Just as well he is not a judge, his observation skills are in question.

Robert failed to mention that emission reduction in Dundee is so good because vehicles drive in reverse capturing what comes out their tailpipe in the vehicle and eventually killing the drivers & passengers.  This eventually reduces the population and vehicle journeys.
