can you help with a small query

have problem with drivers window

attended local Skoda main dealer

diagnosed replacement regulator 

initially hit with €80 diagnostic fee

advised this would be consumed into end price if work went ahead 

hung around,sweetened up with paper coffee and croissant

then advised that the regulator needed replacing

fortunately has in stock........part and labour €302!!!

 

this sounds a bit dear but have to get fixed ; any opinions would be great,thanks again in advance 

What's the breakdown on parts vs labour? It doesn't sound ridiculous for dealer work tbh, there's probably an hour and a half minimum in labour, which is half that amount straight off the bat.

I had mine done a couple of years ago, I fell through the floor when I got my bill, both needed doing at the same time

Not had to do one on mine yet, if it’s the same as my A6 Allroad it’s a PITA.

the door frame unbolts and the unit is riveted to the frame. The rivets are drilled out and you need a motha of a rivet gun to fit the genuine rivets. I broke my rivet gun on the fourth rivet, luckily as it popped. 

Sounds a fair price to me for the dealer to do it.
