had an intermittent fault with reverse,ie no lights coming on rear parking sensors not working, also not muting radio,any idea's

ps reverse lights and sensors now stopped working completley

First guess would be the gearbox reverse sensor has failed.

Had that happen on my last Octavia, managed to get it working again of sorts by removing it and giving it the good news to clean the contacts, while you have the connector off shunt the contacts, if the lights and parking sensor activate the switch will be your culprit unless you are very unlucky.

Where is the  contact unit fitted please so I can try to eliminate that
