Engine Management

Featured Replies

Good morning viewers

New here so be patient.

I have a Fabia vrs on an 11 plate, yes with the Cave engine in it.

The usual misfire seems to be intermittent, now a new fault has occurred.

Engine management light pinged up , code read the system , said  boost

pressure sensor fault, p/no 0 281 002 401.

Fitted new , cleared fault , drove home all ok, started this morning engine

light on again. Any ideas would be greatful

Welcome.

Is the original Water Pump fitted still or has it been replaced?

& Best check out the Boost pressure sensor.

Are all 4 spark plugs in good condition, correct gap, ignition coils etc etc.

Hi,

I have owned the car for 2 years now, in my ownership never fitted a water pump.

Temp gauge stays bang on central.

No water leaks or usage.

New pressure sensor fitted Fri.

New plugs fitted not a month ago, Skoda Leeds fitted 4x 03C905601B,

I was told these were the best plugs to fit.

They were not the best plugs to fit, just the OEM plugs VW / Skoda changed to in 2012.

So standard plugs Main Dealerships use and what they have in stock on the shelf.

So be sure all the breather pipes are fitted properly.

'O' rings on the Turbo pipe as well,

common issue sadly when Main Dealership techs change the spark plugs.

loads of similar threads on here over the years.

Re Water pump,

there does not need to be any loss of coolant, but sometimes you might notice a slight drop.

Not an over heating issue either, it is the Superharger Magnetic Clutch and water pump that is the issue.

Lack of boost.
