Hot start issue

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a Skoda Fabia 1.4 PD 80 2006 with 108k on the clock. Ive not had it long and all was well for the first 2k I had it. Now  for the last few months it can be an absolute pig to start if the engine has been run for a few minutes or longer. Sometimes it will start bang on and other times it will take 10 or so mins to convince it to go. Another issue that has only happened a couple of times is it will cut out while driving, almost like its run out of fuel. Again it will take a while for it to restart,

Does anyone have any pointers on what to look at before I have to pop it into a garage.

Cheers

Mat
