Car is now nearing 8 years old with just under 74k - what’s people changing the original front shock absorbers to on a Fabia vRS ?  Any decent brands to be aware of ? Cheers

Have you had it from new?

Is the car sitting now on the Factory Springs or did it get Dealer Fit Eibach springs?

 

I would be changing the Springs and Dampers if it is OEM / Factory springs still on, or even if the Eibach springs at 8 years old.

I’ve had it from new and i met you at Santa pod and this is the car with the ‘I bought one review’ from the evo magazine. Car is currently on factory springs and shockers. I’ve been looking at the eibach springs along with new dampers but was wanting to know peoples preferences and experiences with other than factory setup. 

All depends on how much you want to spend? You'd be as well changing all four shocks the same time to save you doing the other two in a few months. Realistically IMO for the price of 2/4 shocks would you be not better buying a full kit?

 

You could go for:

 

Basic - Jom kit, Ak coilovers £150-200

Mid/average - Ap Racing, Vmax £200-400

 

It also gives you the option of dropping the car a few mm if you wish.
