Automatically connect WLAN to iPhone

Featured Replies

I have successfully connected my Kodiaqs WLAN via my iPhone personal hotspot.  However, each time I come back to the car it does not automatically connect.  In order to do this I need to go to the personal hotspot on my iPhone and it will then pick it up.  Whilst this is not the end of the world it would be nice if the car would automatically pick up the hotspot.

Am I missing a setting or does someone know a way around this?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Nope - no way around it... unless you leave your personal hotspot turned on all the time, which I wouldn't recommend.

Apple users (myself) sometimes forget just how awesome the iPhone personal hotspot feature is and automatic turn on/off when using it from another of your Apple devices. As soon as you have something else you want to connect automatically, it becomes a pain in the backside. But it's still better than leaving your hotspot turned on 24/7 as most Android people seem to do if every train journey I've ever been on is anything to go by...

I have to agree the iPhone connection is a pain I resorted  to an EE sim fitted in sim slot to make connection easier this works well as hotspot for kids iPads
