Handheld diagnostics scanner (Autel MaxiDiag MD805)

I'm after some advice about a handheld scanner.

Car is a 2011 facelift diesel.

I've used an Autel handheld scanner on my previous VAG cars but all were 2004 or older. The scanner doesn't communicate properly with my current car as I'm guessing it's OBD2 and therefore not fully compatible with the older scanner.

So I'm thinking of getting an Autel MaxiDiag MD805. Has anybody got any experience with this type? The older scanner I have worked very well on my older cars so I'm hoping this will be equally as good.
