Fault codes on all glowplugs?

Featured Replies

Hello!

Im having a battery drain issue with my Skoda. I've seen that I have faultcodes on I Think all the glowplugs. Can this be? Or is it the harness? I Think I have the Cable harness that goes inside the Engine oil...

If we say that the glowplugs are shorted, could they be on the entire time and cause my battery drain?

How does your glow-plug light behave when you turn ignition on / start the car?

It behaves normally. Its on for a few seconds, then it shuts off.

I'm only working on logic but i think if the glow plugs had a fault / were shorted, then either the light would remain lit and / or you would have engine problems, ie misfire or starting problems.

Does the car run fine???

How did you find out about the fault codes

Battery drain can have a multitude of causes!

Hey sorry for not answering! The car runs fine, and I got the codes from my obdeleven :)

Yes it can be all the glowplugs, I posted a similar query when I bought my car, 3 out of 4 were ither failed or outside of limits but it still started OK, i swapped them all.
