Update - replacement of anti-roll bar - Fabia

Featured Replies

Following-on from my post of 7th March http://www.briskoda.net/forums/general-car-chat/index10.html, the dealer has now replaced the front anti-roll bar and bushes. All seems to be satisfactory, the clunking noise experienced when driving over rough surfaces has gone. All done, under warranty apparently, at no cost to myself, except for

This is what happens..

The inset cracks and comes out, meaning the arb isnt located centrally.

After a while the collar seperates and falls out.

Annoying but not danergous in any way.

I take it from the photos, that each end of the ARB locates somewhere near the suspension turrets in the wing ?

Mine is just like these photos.

My collars aren’t that bad but do need replacement because I split one when trying to bang it back into place. Is there any way of changing the collars apart from changing the whole arb? And can the arb be slid out after removing its rubber mounts without major dismantling of the suspension?

How much is an arb for 1.4mpi Fabia?
