Spotted this in an Auto Express article regarding what manufacturers are doing to combat keyless car crime and wondered if anyone had already got this on their infotainment screen?

 

VW Group (Audi, Skoda, SEAT, Volkswagen etc)

Fix? Deactivate

Keyless functions of VW Group cars can be switched off through infotainment screens or by dealers. Auto Express understands that VW will introduce retrofit patches soon

So... is this a bit of a case of

"theres a basic issue that means our system has a major security flaw. So, we are going to let you, the owner, decide to turn off this feature we and everyone else sold as being a fantastic life changing piece of tech....  but by saying its your choice, we arent admitting its flawed...." 

How much convenience can you stand before it becomes inconvenient.

Isn’t a case of my features list is longer than yours?.
