Hey all

i went to open the bonnet of my ‘08 mk2 Fabia and the bonnet release handle just pulled up and didn’t release the bonnet.

 

the bonnet is stuck down and handle flaps about. On the handle in the footwell i can see a ball and a cable coming off it but it goes under the dash so im not sure if its snapped further down or just unclipped at bonnet end.

 

any ideas how i can open the bonnet??

Just a quick update, the metal bonnet cable has actually snapped.

i just released the interior handle and pulled the cabe through and yes indeed its broken.

anyone know how i can open the bonnet??

I did read this before i posted but saw it was on a mk 1.

i was thinking my mk2 could be different??
