Yeti stoplock pro

Featured Replies

Hi guys, just picked up my yeti. Love it already! But the stoplock pro i have doesnt fit, even though stoplock say it does.

Any yeti owners use a stoplock pro, and can advise how it fits, or do i need to buy a stoplock pro elite?

Many thanks,

Paul.

I've always read that the basic one wasn't much good but ther PRO was miles better ... I can't recall details of the Elite. It's not exactly the answer you seek ... but I have to say the Disklok is a beast which only the most determined bounder would get through without waking the dead. They're universally recognised as being one of the best, easily obtainable, visually deterrant devices - but the problem is they're big and heavy (which is why they work so well).  I reserve the use of mine for dodgy areas. They're a doddle to slip over the wheel once you've got theth hang of it. If you park in dodgy areas then I'd say get one. The SMALL size fits the Yeti.

The other one I would mention is a thing called the Longarm Steering Wheel lock. Trouble is you'll only find them second hand now .... but they were very strong and very visible and very easy to fit - I have one for each car and often use them as they're so simple to put on.  If you see one on Ebay - get it.

It's not likely to help you much but they also sold the Longarm badged as "Halfords Steering Wheel Lock" and also "AA Steering Wheel Lock". All thre same lock but with different labels.  Whatever you do get be sure it has a minimum of two keys.  If you Google Longarm you'll see a couple of photos of ones that were for sale in times past.

EDIT. Don't forget the Disklok though .... loads of used ones on Ebay as well as new ones. Again, ensure a minimum of two keys. Two colours, yellow ans silver - both exactly the same - I've had both.

There is a word of caution though ...... whatever you do make sure you have the key with you when you fit it on the car.  It is possible to snap the lock shut without the key and if you don't have the key you're stuffed.
