Replace defective maxidot cluster skoda octavia

Featured Replies

Hi,

my O2 2006 maxidot lcd display is deffective and it needs to be changed .

Does anybody knows id I need to do any reprogramming if I change it (only the LCD not all cluster) ?

Tnx .

If you replace the LCD with an identical one, there should be no programming etc needed. It should just work :)

What actually is wrong with the current display?

I got my O2 second hand, first when it was hot outside display was of and after a few minutes with AC on was alive again, then after a few years vertical white lines appear, now it is fading and I cannot se anything on it. From what I've red it is a common issue in the maxidot life.

Here in my country (Romania) I cannot find only the display online, only the hole cluster, but I found in Slovakia with around 110 euros inc transport . It seems it is made by VDO (OEM) .
