Looking at possibly buying a 2013 1.6tdi Fabia monte carlo, would appreciate any comments positive or negative regarding this model.

Will be replacing the other halfs 2006 VRS

 

Best read up on the emissions fix.

Maybe find one that has not had the New Engine Management and the flow device. Or one that has the roll back.

 

I bought a 2013 1.6tdi last month. Runs perfect no issues at all. Only has 25k on the clock and service history is up to date so nothing much to say other than it pulls really well and handles brilliantly. MPG isn’t great round town but that’s probably me lol.

I had a Fabia Scout (similar spec, same engine) and it gave me plenty of trouble free motoring. No EGR or DPF issues, comfortable and practical. Very good alternative to the Monte in my book.

Guessing I need to contact skoda dealer to find out if its had the mod or is there a site

Any cars that have been sold used through Skoda / VW Group main dealerships will have had it done.

Pull the intake off and have a look 

Had mine since 2015 on 35k and still got it now on 94.5k, Great comfortable car, nippy, cruiser! Make sure you get one without the emissions fix.
