Service on a 1.4 16v

Featured Replies

I am about to make a service on the girls 180.000 old fabia.

I will replace as followed

Oil and oil Filter
Air Filter
Pollen Filter
fuel filter
V-belt
Spark Plug - here i am in doubt on wich  electrode distance i should use?
Brake Fluid

Lubricate brakes and check for replacement.

Is There something i am missing?

Sump plug unless sucking out oil and maybe still change it.

Worth a check of the Coolant 's strength. (Anti Freeze / Rust Inhibitor)

Maybe replace or just adjust ration pre winter.

Spark plug electrode gap 1.0~1.1mm

When i hit my plates on the Danish sites + autodoc and mister-auto, i find 0.7, 0.9 and 1 mm. Så the standard must be 1 mm?

What is your engine code ? and what spark plugs are you putting in ? as some makes do have different gaps

OK the Dealer manual says Bosch F7HER02 or NGK 2FR6T-11G and both with the gap I posted before

Might be different gaps for different temperatures in the area the car is used in. Bare in mind, the differences are minimal anyway.
