Front parking sensors: Short to plus when all 4 sensors are connected

Featured Replies

The title might sound weird but I think I might need some electrical help here...

The original diagnostic from VCDS:

Front sensors:

- LEFT: short to plus

- RIGHT: no communication

- LEFT CENTER: no communication

- RIGHT CENTER: no communication

So I swapped left sensor with the right and the short to plus error moves to the right - BINGO... well not really. After having received the new sensor, I try it out and the error persists.

I tried the new sensor on the LEFT and also on the RIGHT, on both sides the short to plus error moves with the sensor. Fortunately I bought 2 so I would have a spare... the second one does the same...

In other words, the car will create a short to plus error when the 4th sensor on the line is connected, regardless of which side it is... How about that? Would the parking aid controller be faulty?
