i own a skoda fabia diesel 1.4TDi 2007 with 32,000 miles on just had new cambelt belt with water pump replaced,however the computer display has gone off,comes back on somtimes but now stayed off,told by a motor electrican could be loose wire etc would have to send off to be fixed could cost between £150 to £250 plus which includes fitting but car unfit to drive does anyone know cheaper ways to remedy this fault please

Sounds about right for a faulty dash cluster to be honest. 

 

Lots of these faults popping up now they are getting on.
