Parking camera in infotainment system

Featured Replies

Hi there,

Please help me, I what to know, is it possible for my infotainment system to connect a parking camera ?

How can i tell if it possible without disassembling the glovecompartment ?

I THINK my system is a Bloero MK1 ... I have cd player, 1 SD card slot, Bluetooth. The info system does not have DAB or SAT/NAV.

I have a Octavia III 1,4 TSI 140hp from 2014 today with parking sensors.

Device part numer: 5E0035840A

Hardware: 040

Software: 0435

Best regards

Do you have "VOICE" button or "TP" on bottom left button on the Bolero ?

Yes, I do have the Voice button. 🙂

Yes your radio unit will take a camera, you will need a camera of your choice and for the video feed you will need to pin +ive into pin 6 of the blue plug and -ive into pin 12.

Hi Sasha,

Okay, thank you so mutch. Will try find a nice camera for my car, and then connect it 🙂

It I connect to the pins you mention, then what should I do with the parking sensors, they are connected somehow today, should they bee disconnected also ? ... and are they also in the blue plug ?

The car’s radio will deal with that display when you put it in the reverse it’ll have this screen.

You can toggle between that and the park sensor screen. You will need to run the coding change 5F Infotainment Byte 19 Bit 4 Enable reverse_camera_low
