With regard to updating maps from the Skoda portal.

I am trying to update to the latest maps on my 9.2 Columbus.

I am using an old pc with a usb portable hard drive which I connect to the usb slot in the front console.

I have tried downloading the file to the computer and unzipping to the pc and copying files across. I have tried copying the unzipped file to the usb drive.

In fact I seem to have tried every combination possible, but the Columbus does not seem to find the update.

Can anyone tell me the correct combinations I need to install this update correctly.

Ok thanks that makes sense, so now I have a pen drive. Am I right in downloading the zip file to c drive and then unzipping it to the pen drive which is my E drive with no folders. That leaves me with three unzipped files on the E drive.

Ok update. The files are now found and ready to update. Anyone know how long the update takes. Do I need to keep the engine running or can I just leave the ignition on. Can the update be interrupted and done in stages or must it be done in one go. Any advice please.
