Metallic rattley noise at 2,500 rpm but only when driving

Featured Replies

Hi all, I've a 2015 Monte Carlo (which is now on 50,000 miles)

i've had this problem for some time now.. but there is a weird metal rattling type noise than only occurs when driving and going from 2,000 to 2,600 rpm in every gear... it doesn't do it when i'm stationary and revving..

any one any ideas.? alot of googling suggest the heat shield, but surely that would still make the noise when stationary...

i normally have my music on loud enough so i can't hear it.. but my wife is saying it's embarrassing when she drives it...

any ideas where to start looking.??

TIA

Phil.

You need to get underneath and do some prodding a poking about and see if anything is loose
