DPF Pressure Sensor

Featured Replies

Hi Lads and Lassies

Went and scanned a friends 2015 1.4tdi as the engine management light was on, and it is coming up saying DPF Pressure Sensor is faulty, Code P2454 00 168. Cleared it for now, but had a look at where I thought it was, and couldn't see it, then I had a look under the heatshield blanket on the passenger side of the engine and there are some kind of sensors in there, but there are two.  On my Mk2 this was an easy spot and an easy change, anyone know if the ones under the blanket are the actual DPF sensors?  One is black and one is brown.

Cheers

Lennie

There can be two pressure sensors for the DPF.

One just before the DPF and one just after.

They look for a drop in pressure caused by a blocked DPF filter.

Thanks AG Falco

The sensor itself will be away from the heat, somewhere on the bulkhead maybe? Usually it will have 2 pipes going to it to measure the diff across the DPF

There are thermocouples in the DPF also so don't get confused with those
