What is the difference between these rear view mirrors?

Hi all,

I'm looking to retrofit a rear view self-dimming mirror to my Karoq 1.6 TDI Ambition, and found these online but noticed the camera at the back of mirror like below:

Any idea why is the camera used? Can it be easily connected/coded to Ambition with Bolero infotainment?
Will it need any complex calibration? Because I'm not looking for any traffic signs recognition, but a lane assistant camera would be nice to have.

I have seen the mirror with a big box for the traffic signs recognition:

but never encountered the one with a camera in the holder...
