Hi all, a work colleague is trying to decide which Superb to buy. He already has a 2011 4x4 170 manual, and is looking to buy another 1.

He has narrowed it down to 2 local cars, hopefully links work

I said that its depends if he wants/needs another 4x4. I'm slightly biased owning 1 also, but I would go for the 4x4 everyday!

Not sure whether your Friend has already taken the plunge, but here's my (very humble) opinion.

Pretty certain not everyone will agree.

 

Both 2.0 but the Burgundy one is the 170BHP DSG vs the Black 140BHP Manual. (Fuel economy, Tax rate, insurance etc).

For me both look immaculate, (hard to tell unless you see them up close), with similar spec,

The Black one takes the Win for me. (Slightly lower mileage, slightly lower price + newer plate).

I guess it will boil down to whether or not your friend values DSG and more power/poke over economy lower emissions, lower tax and lower insurance costs.

 

Hope he finds what he wants.

He actually bought a different superb at the same dealer. A 2011 4x4 170, he has a matching pair now 😁
