Circuit for running lights

Featured Replies

Hi all im hoping one of you is a wiring guru :)

Okay so ive got some front strip running lights now according to the instructions i need to run them to the battery negative and the accessories circuit they suggest jumping off your one relay but i cant even get access to my relays full stop that i know of im assuming they are buried somewhere deep behind the dash boars which i find a bit stupid tbh.

So my question is how can i get a wire from the accessories circuit up to this point on my battery soi i can put it onto one of the spare fuse straps to make a seperate point for it ???

Thanks in advance as always 👍

I fitted some LED DRL's to my Octy 1 and I picked up an ignition ON supply from the reverse light switch on the gearbox

How did you tap your live in if you dont mind me asking ???

Cut the supply wire and spliced the light into it with a blue inline crimp and covered that in a heatshrink sleeve

Hi again so tried what you said only difference being I went from oil pressure sender as better for wiring. Did volt test nothing at off pre ignition and ignition all reading good so I wired the lights in. Now at pre ignition lights came on so turned it over lights went out not sure why but they only come on at pre ignition as soon as I start the car they go off any ideas please ???

Sounds like you've wired it so that the lights are behaving the same as a low oil pressure light :D

Sure, but you wouldn't believe how many people see their oil pressure warning light and think it means they need to top up their oil.

It hardly ever is that.
