HELP!! Pressure Sensor / wiring problems. Need wiring diagram for bmn 2.0 rs engine

Featured Replies

having a right head ache with my 2008 2.0vrs (170bhp) BMN Engine, currently i have had 3 different pressure sensors fitted and have concluded its not the issue with the 2002 code im getting (+ pressure sensor readings outside tolerance levels) Also getting wiring short  error to + Battery

Im now looking at either the wiring or the ecu being the culprit, but currently the car wont go above 3k rpm and cuts power at 3k rpm. (Limpish Mode) also dpf light constantly on, (although the dpf isnt blocked and its because of the false readings being thrown out by the pressure sensor wiring or the ecu. the readings wont drop below the required level to tell the ecu to turn off the dpf light ) The fault cannot be reset as it  instantly comes back on.

im struggling to get my hands on a wiring diagram for my engine so i can do some testing on the wires leading from pressure sensor to ecu. Im getting voltage readings from all 3 pins to the pressure sensor. its my understanding one of them should be a earthing cable with no voltage showing.

Can anyone provide the correct engine wiring diagram so i know which pin to disconnect from the ecu so i can further test this issue. Or advise which wire is which on the pressure sensor,

Any help would be really appreciated i have already thrown £700 at this, its really starting to cause me a headach HELP!! :P

Official source for wiring diagrams is here https://erwin.skoda-auto.cz/erwin/showHome.do

They charge a small fee (€7 + VAT?) for an hour but if you use a print to PDF function, you can keep the data for later ;)

Assuming we're referring to G450 dpf pressure sensor:

Pin1, yel/blu goes to pin 11 of a black 14 way connector in front left* of engine Bay, from there it continues as a black wire to pin 58 of the 94 way ecu connector. This is a 5V feed.

Pin2, green, goes to pin 4 of the 14 way, then continues from there to ecu pin 12 as a brown wire. Labelled -

Pin3, purple/green goes to pin 3 of the 14 way, continuing as a purple wire to ecu pin 11. This is the signal.
