hi im looking at getting lowering springs on my mk1 fabia vrs. i want to know which is the best all rounder. looks handling while retaining some comfort i.e not jarring or bumpy. thanks in advance

I have Eibachs which are 25mm lower than the VRS standard suspension. I wouldn't go lower, most especially if you keep the standard dampers. For handling, you need damper upgrade to make the most of it and a RARB to rebalance the handling.

 

To do a proper job it needs the dampers to match the springs and a RARB. Change out the front top mounts at the same time as the originals have had over a decade of the suspension hammering any compliance out of them.

 

Fitting is likely to cost a few hundred unless you can get a deal from a tuner/garage. AP springs/dampers is probably a cost effective option.

thanks for the replies. ive been looking at apex. h&r and eibachi. does anyone have any pics id say no more than 35mm from what ive read on other threads.
