Amended title.

@tupperware12300

If the Yellow Oil can light is on is it because the Oil Level is low?

What is the oil level showing on the dipstick when checked at Operating temp or at 98*oC indicated.

Where is the oil level when check with the engine Stone Cold.

PS.

In another post 'Tupperware' on 30th June you asked about the Oil temp when warm.

?

Had you checked the oil level then and anytime since?

If so and oil level is correct get your car checked over.    Pps. Opening the bonnet and not even topping up oil and the light stays off for 60 miles.

If it is the oil can symbol flashing, your oil pressure is low.

If it is an oil can with a wavy line below it is a level warning and will be accompanied by a message the oil level is too low, too high, or oil sensor fault.

Any chance that for your next post you can add something other than your username into the subject box, such as "Engine Oil Warning Light"?

Does this apply to both diesel and petrol cars ??
