I need some advice. I am attempting to replace a front door lock mechanism on a Fabia 1. To get the mechanism I need to remove the "Assembly Carrier" and to do that I will drill out the rivets. When I come to put the Assembly Carrier back together I assume I use a rivet gun to secure it, correct? Any details would be helpful

Check you have rivets. Up to 2003ish (I think) the carriers are bolted. Later cars have 10 rivets. Need the right rivets and a lazy tong riveter to fit them.
