KESSY BATTERY PROBLEMS

Featured Replies

My Toledo is just a year old and I have started to get the message "Change Key Fob Battery" on starting the car. Changed the battery but still get the message. The problem is the same with the other key fob which has been in a drawer ever since I bought the car. The keyless entry works fine and either keyfob will open or close the car from a considerable distance. Anyone else had a similar problem?

Yes, I have had this problem. Simple solution, replace the battery!. Do it soon, before the battery dies. It's quick and easy, I searched online and found a video on how to open the key fob, batteries are freely available on the high street.

From your comment I'd suggest buying new batteries as a first step, probably best to avoid the dead cheap batteries, they are cheap for a reason!

Got 18 months from brand new out of the one I use and also the spare I never use. Kessy remotes don't last half the life of a normal one.

If you don't change the battery in time, you can still open and start the car.
