Led light bar fitting Fabia MK3

Featured Replies

So its getting darker outside here in Sweden and I need some better lights as the oem halogens are just

rubbish, bought myself a X-Vision Genesis 600, 120W led light bar yesterday after reading some good

reviews on it. https://ljusakuten.se/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/1605-NS3730.jpg

My question is in regards of the Front Assist, I would like to mount the light bar in the down grille so

that it will be more hidden for thief's. Does anyone know what happens if I from the car menu disable

the front assist and then disconnect the whole radar itself? will it give me some error codes doing so?

I bought some of those super bright +150% halogen bulbs, huge improvement in light output.

It will throw codes as well as invalidate your insurance as it’s a key safety system in your car same as airbags. I doubt you can find an insurance company that would take you on with it removed. Your best bet would probably be 2 separate bars and leave it installed.

Not a key safety system required by law / legislation in the EU be that Sweden or the UK.

If it can be disabled by being faulty it has no need to be repaired or reactivated.

If it was faulty and a Skoda Main Dealership did not know the fault then the car would not be taken off the road with a safety critical fault.

Cheers for all the info, I went the easy way with the installation, just have to keep the car in the garage every night from now on :)

Here in the UK we have limitations on light output and height /width of lamp locations.

Does this apply where you are?

There are similar limitations here as well, however I live in the northern part of sweden and the mot nor the police have never bothered to say anything about this, last time I was pulled over for a standard drivers license control in my old car with 3 big LED lights and 2 led bars they where just Impressed over my setup 😂

In the UK the required lights are limited by law, position, strength etc.

The ones tested in a MOT.

As to auxillary lights like Work Lights, Spot Lights, Front Fog lights which can be for offroad or maybe even on roads where nobody will be seeing them unless the driver forgets to switch them off where there are other road users pedestrians, cyclists etc.

You see Roof Lights and Light Bars on 4x4's, Vans & cars in the UK and these are not tested or checked at a UK as long as not coming on with the Sidelight / Poition Light,

or Dipped or Full Beam.

Dont dazzle or cause issues to others by having 'Offroad use only lights dazzling them', and dont get caught doing it by the police in the UK.
