Anyone know of an up to date TomTom POI file showing Skoda dealer locations please?

The only one I can find on the web is hopelessly out of date.

It was something produced by Bryan D from here and not Skoda. I have the latest one he has made available here -

Will this work will all versions on TomTom ?

I have the speed camera POI's installed on my TomTom mobile so i assume this one will work in the same way?

Thanks for that and all the hard work. You've inspired me to do a POI for Honda dealers but it will take some time! When it's finished I'll post on here in case anyone wants a copy.

Yes, thanks for the POI files - it is very useful. Unfortunately I have found quite a few mistakes where dealers are not on the roads they claim to be or are shown so far away from the road that you're not sure if you need to drive into a business park/industrial estate/private road to get to them. If these have been obtained from Skoda then they need to be a bit more accurate with their longitude and latitude.

Perhaps we can all take a section of the country (where our local dealers are) and confirm the exact location for use in this file. I'd be happy to help with the four or five I regularly pass or visit on my journey's.

I can't take the credit for setting up the overlay. I've just updated as best I could.

I know its not perfect, most of it was done on post codes and having a look at the dealers websites to try to pin point them. I hoped that if not perfect, the dealer should have been within eyeballing of the TomTom point!

Cant be any worse than the post office/post box POI's I have - they're frequently in the middle of fields.

One of the main problems I've found so far is that post codes in rural locations often cover a very wide area. It's sometimes better to work from an address but many dealers don't give street numbers so their location as a POI is usually a matter of guesswork. However, as Delroy says the locations are usually within eye-balling range. I'm actually very surprised that car dealers/manufacturers etc. haven't caught on to the concept of listing their POI's.
