New recall?

Recommended Posts

I entered my VIN into the Skoda recall page, and it's telling me there's a recall R/2019/303 - 5/Sep 19 "TOO LITTLE TORQUE MAY BE PROVIDED BY THE ENGINE AT LOW ENGINE SPEEDS".

Anyone had this applied and did it help? - is this finally a fix for the  infamous 1.5 TSI hesitation issue?

UK / DVSA Safety Critical Recalls are Recalls, and find out what they are.

They are Safety Critical and Registered Keepers should get a letter.

These should be EU wide.

Recall Actions / Service campaigns and VW / Skoda Secret Service campaigns are different.

Lots of Recall Actions, lots of Service Campaigns, and many being missed.

A small and not very exciting addition to this..

Mustapha on Skoda live chat told me it would "improve accelerator response when pulling away and improve delayed acceleration". I asked him whether it was safety critical or could wait until my oil service in 1000 miles and he said that his system didn't specify but recommended it ASAP.

There is a recently released major recall affecting cars fitted with the DQ200 gearbox, i.e. the dry 7-speed dsg.

"lose of power" related.

I had the 24EV fix along with oil change on Thursday.

Today I got an !!action required!! recall letter so they are informing people eventually.

I haven’t noticed a massive difference so far. Maybe a bit easier to drive smoothly when cold.

Yes, It was from Skoda UK. Described itself in the letter as a safety recall and that they got my details from DVLA. Text about too little torque fits with recall on DVLA site.

Mentions the alternator and that torque is “used up” by aux drive...

So had the recall software (I assume software) update carried out yesterday, not driven my car from cokdcstart yet so will see, it wasn't particularly bad anyway and didn't do it all of the time.......

Should that be `cockedstart`?
