Hi guys,

 

So I am looking into getting a second smaller car and have picked out two 2012 Fabias.  both are 1.2L. one has 86K km and the other 115K km.  One is at a small dealer and the other (86K) is private and about the same price.

Any thoughts or advice would be appriciated.

There are 1.2 Diesels or Petrols and different petrols and power outputs, so what are these cars?

 

You would be buying i take it on the condition of them and the servicing and maintenance history so maybe the km covered should not be the deciding factor.

they are both 1.2L petrol 44kW (60PS). 

Well I went with the higher mileage one.  It seemed better kept and more service history.  It may have only been slightly sluggish on startup.  It has original battery and I probably old spark plugs as well.

I would still appreciate any advice or tip from experienced Fabia users.  Anything particular I should look into doing in the first few weeks, etc

ERROR

So, I am the proud owner of a 2012, 1.2l fabia with 115k.  I ended up going with this on because it had much better service history and Al's seemed to be in better shape. I even got a set of tires and oil change thrown in.  I asked to a cabin filter change as there was a bit of smoker smell, but was told only diesels have serviceable filters.   I had no idea.

I am asking myself if the spark plugs would be worth changing?  The engine seems fine but maybe not as smooth as it could be.
