Tinted window

Featured Replies

Good evening all!😀 my mot is due in November and I have my front windows tinted (dark) is this an mot failure as it seems to be a grey area from what I’ve read? Many thanks

There is a % figure for letting light in and as you say yours are dark, then I'm presuming that your tints won't reach the required percentage.

I gather not but not sure if it will fail or not as others have said it’s not an mot issue but it’s illegal?

Possible Points and a fine if checked and illegal, or remove them when asked.

so pull into a tinting place and ask them to check.

I was stopped and the front glass tested and OK.

Tint on front is on factory tint.
