LED headlights

Featured Replies

Had headlights replaced under warranty due to cracking/ice like spots. Question is...two yellow screws on headlights. One is for vertical adjustment (upper one). Whats the lower screw adjusts..anbody knows?

Left / Right adjustment.

Turns out its for fog lights. Also noticed that right indicator/park light is visibly brighter then left one.

How old is your Karoq?

There was a blip of cracking LED headlights last winter, I'd hoped it was a small batch that had all now been weeded out.

It definitely appears to be colder weather related, water getting into the sealant between the lens and body of the cluster and expanding when the first frosts arrive.

If one LED strip is brighter on one side then it needs to go back to the dealer. The screws are for alignment rather than brightness.

The headlights and fog lights are physically connected on both the Karoq and Kodiaq, they are a one-piece assembly.

Its year 2018, december, bought it in 3/2019 and got good discount. Antway, issue with headlights had nothing with winter since it happened in summer And car hasnt been exposed to low temps. Headlights seems fine now, only indicator/position lights have that i would say minor differenfe with left one being slightly brighter. Its four warranty so we will see.
