Central Locking - how to UNLOCK from inside?

Featured Replies

The way I operate (not private hire etc 😉 ) I'm more and more ticked by the INABILITY to unlock all doors in my car from inside. I've checked both all options in computer settings as well as went over the relevant section in manual.

How do I unlock the doors for my wife, whom I just arrived to pick up and continue drive, without either opening driver doors (literally cracking them open) or switching engine off and pulling the key from ignition? Locking - including auto - is fine. it's the unlock that's killing me.

it's not big deal, objectively, but it's absolutely annoys me more than "Keeping up with the Kardashians"

Hi langers2k,

The point i forgot to add (can I edit my post?) is that this is not working... Rocking to LOCK position - like clockwork, every time - works, but clicking unlock - not so much after I switched on the ignition and went on my way. Autolock kicks at speed as designed, but when I arrive I can't let my wife in without either opening my doors, her doors or taking out key from the ignition (when auto unlock kicks in).

If autolock locks the doors and you stop to pick someone up, that button should unlock the doors without you needing to turn the engine off etc.

At a guess, it sounds like you might have a faulty unlock button. Might be worth removing it to take apart and clean or replace :)

Or the door wiring harness has cracked.

Have you leaned over and tried the passenger side unlock switch?

If this works then as above door wiring harness

Loads of posts on here about it 😎

Also why not switch of auto lock the now till you get it fixed
