Does this only work on cars after a certain date? I tried to enable it on my 2010 Elegance following a guide on here. Set all the correct options in VCDS but nothing shows up in maxidot 😞

Indirect TPMS doesn't show up in the maxidot normally, there is a physical button in front of the gearstick.

 

I think later cars (MY12 onwards?) have a newer software in the maxidot that does allow indirect TPMS reset via the cluster but it was never done this was from factory.

Ah damn, I saw a thread on here saying indirect TPMS could be enabled through VCDS and then controlled/reset through maxidot. I guess my car is too old.

 

The cars that come from the factory with TPMS with the physical button, is that indirect TPMS or does it have the proper pressure sensors in the wheels?

The button is for indirect tpms.

 

I don't think any Skoda got direct tpms (pressure sensors), the MK2 Octavia certainly didn't 🙂

Okay thanks, I was not aware direct TPMS was not an option on the mk2. I've just read your signature and now I have so many questions - is there a project thread I can ask in or can I send you a PM?

Quick bump to this. I have now fitted the TPMS button and wired to the ABS pump (pin 35 on the connector). Does anyone know the pinout for connecting the wires to the ESP button for power/gnd? As the kit I have fitted has different wire colours to the ones which go into the ESP button and there are no instructions.
