OCTAVIA SE L ESTATE 1.5 EGS

Featured Replies

Hi folks.

Anyone out there got one of these babies that would have been built in the last few months or so?

Just would like to know how you have got on with it?

Any pointers or comments about it.

Waiting in anticipation for mine to be delivered! :-)

What's EGS?

Durrrr!! DSG! (Had a Citroen Grand Picasso which had EGS! Same system different name! :-) )

The Porsche version is almost worth the entry price 👍

Hi...can't offer an opinion on DSG version but my new 1.5 TSI SEL Estate manual is brilliant with none of the throttle problems reported by others.

It is good on fuel and has an adequate turn of speed ...quiet and refined ride ....after my fairly agricultural diesel Yeti.

I love the reversing camera and the LED headlights with auto dipping.

My wife likes driving it so there's no more to be said!

Regards

Glad you like it. We went for heated front seats. Would have liked reversing camera but funds wouldn't stretch to that. I'm a bit of a gadget freak hence went for that model. 😁

Don’t know what equipment that is included in SE L, but I got my 1.5 TSI DSG delivered two weeks ago (car was built in week 39).

In sweden my trim is called Style, and I’m like you, a gadget freak so I went for the Tech and Premium package as well, so I got ACC, Lane Assist, Blind Spot monitoring, reversing camera, heated steats (standard in sweden), heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, 230 v jack, Amundsen navigation, Canton sound, virtual cockpit, kessy, electric seats, electric boot, LED headlights, webasto and so on. Not much more to ask for. :)

I can’t feel any kangarooing or throttle problem. I had 100 bhp more in my previous car, so this feels not that fast to me, but it’s good for a daily driver and uses not that much fuel. I’m more than pleased, I can even say very happy about the choice of car! Much bang for the buck!

Hope you getting your car soon, and also that you are going to like it very much Nitonboy!

Thanks B284.

Our funds only limited us to the heated seats which the wife said was a necessity! 😁

Because of the way we have the car (3 year lease style package) and the need to put in a wheelchair hoist which took another bite of the cake, we dont want to put lots of goodies in for next owner to enjoy! Our current car a Grand Ford CMax Titanium X has lots of goodies so you can see where we are going.

Well the weeks have crept on.  Last word from dealer, 2 weeks ago, was car was built (Build week 44) and 'In Germany' somewhere.

Any dealers on here who could advise where it 'should' be now? 😉
