What's this pipe/ hose

Featured Replies

Hey guys, just had some issues with emissions test for mot, tester got it to pass but said this split pipe/hose was causing issues. I have duck tapped it back together but am unsure of its function. Can someone give a part number or name for this part? Should I replace or leave taped! Seems to be vacum/air related

It's the corrugated/ flexi hose

Hello,

It is some kind of gas fumes overflow thingie if I remember correctly.

Also check this out:

The same tube is making noises also :)

I got the rubber one from ebay and it works fine. Just make sure to get the rubber one not the plastic one you have now. In this thread you find the part number also.

Thanks for the info, do you think it's ok to just tape it together, if there's a good seal?

I would replace it, I would also suggest for you to replace it but people do all kinds of stupid stuff based on information they learn from internet from a stranger :)
