The snow chains improve driving in wintry road conditions.

 

WARNING

 

Risk of accident as well as tyre damage!

 

Do not use chains on routes that are free from snow and ice.

 

What you should be mindful of

 

Before fitting the snow chains, remove the full wheel trims.

 

Only mount the snow chains on the front wheels.

Permitted rim/tyre combinations for mounting of snow chains.

 

Rim size 6Jx16 ET35

 

Tyre size 195/60 R16

 

Only fit snow chains with links and locks that are no larger than 13 mm.

The question is:

 

On a Skoda Kamiq, can you use snow chains on the 195/65R15 fitted to a 6Jx15 ET35 rim? In the Owners Manual, I've only seen 195/60R16 fitted to a 6Jx16 rim recommended for use with snow chains. I suspect that you can, as the outside size of these two tyres is almost the same. The Skoda Scala does allow the use of snow chains to both these tyre sizes and rim combinations.

At this extremely early stage in the general driving public's knowledge of the car, I suggest that the best answer will be found with Skoda.
