Mk1 vRS console bush

Featured Replies

I know this has been mentioned in the past but can't seem to find the thread despite searching for it. Originally when the mk1 vRS came out the console bush was weak. Was there not an uprated one from a SEAT Leon which was a solid bush? can anyone confirm this with a part number?

and does the console bush connect to the track control arm?

how many console bushes are needed to be replaced?

The part number for the Cupra console bush is 6LL407183

You need two of them and they need a tool to push them into the consoles.

This video shows the non-Cupra type being fitted but the procedure is much the same, except that the cupra bushes have a metal outer shell and are a bit harder to fit. The video is very simplistic and makes it look easier than it actually is but gives an idea...

Might just be easier/cheaper and simpler to replace both with Powerflex bushes. Initially a bit dearer, but once done, thy are (said to be) guaranteed for life.
