Hi very good offer on this tyre ai Kwikfit at the moment. Would this be a suitable tyre for my Fabia mk2 1.6 elegance estate, as it sounds more like a sporty hi performance tyre? Many thanks. 

Michelin pilot sport 3 remain in selection of sizes, but Pilot sport 4 is now common, so these might be a sale of old stock

 

Michelin describe them as For sport-oriented vehicles and high-powered saloons, for enhanced driving sensations.   So not an everyday (all year) tyre for a Fabia as they are performance summer tyre

 

If you are changing all 4 tyres then beware many newer designs have become Eco biased, they are formulated for low rolling resistance in the summer, and are assumed to be swapped for winter tyres, consequently are worse than used to be in the colder weather in winter.    If you like Michelin tyres then seriously consider cross climates for those colder days and occasional snow days.   F1 autocentres used to have good prices on cross climates, but shop around on internet as prices vary.

 

Surrey John - thanks for the reply have trawled the internet not many choices in this size 205 45 16. May go for Fallen Ze310's. Not for me actually swapping cars with my daughter and want her to have some decent boots on the car.

I wouldn't go for the Falken, and if it is for everyday use all year anything described as Eco (summer) is inappropriate (as the compound is harder and they tend to be poor in cooler weather as they are designed for long distance summer journeys).

 

Not sure where you live, but in that size would go for Vredestein Quatrac 5 (for all year use)

If you really want a summer tyre then maybe Continental Premium Contact 6

You are a bit restricted by size 205 45 1R16

 

SurreyJohn would have been my choice the Vredestein but couldn’t find them in that size. Have decided to go for Bridgestone T005 a bit noisy I’ve heard but quite hard wearing. Thanks for the advice.
