Looking for a little advice, I have tried looking for previous posts but can not locate any... is there a way of turning off the fake sound they is pumped in to the car when the car is in sport mode? I have the car in “individual” mode at the moment, with the throttle in normal and everything else in sport. I like how the car drives in full sport but the drone of fake noise is horrendous. Is there anyway of turning this off and it never being heard again?

Yes.  It’s a simple change that can be made with VCDS or obdeleven. 
 

Think the coding might be in the Mk3 VCDS sticky. 

You are referring to the Soundaktor module.

 

There are two ways to amend this:

1) Use a tool like VCDS or Obdeleven. You can control the volume from 0% to 100%.

2) Disconnect the Soundaktor. There are numerous YouTube videos which illustrate this 5 minute job. And since it’s just a physical disconnection and not updating the computer, you don’t need to worry about any effect to your warranty.
