OK can someone tell me how to change the bulb in the projector of the superb mark lll

Took the old one out can't get the new one back in. A friend says I need to dismantle the front of the car to get the headlamp unit out 1st!

That can't be right...

Can it?

Unfortunately yes.

ideally u need to remove the front bumper, so u can remove the headlight, and u can have proper access to fitting it back.

The clips r tricky.

If u have SLA headlights, the retaining clips r even more trickier.

 

The right side (driver RHD) can b accessed by removing the wheel arch liner.

The left side (passenger) is barely accessible though because of the washer fluid tank.

Hence why bumper must come off.

 

It's a painful process just to change the bulbs 😞

1. Remove wheel arch liner

2. Remove bumper

3. Remove headlight

4. Replace bulb

5. Reverse steps above

The bottom ones r the drivers side access, without having to remove the bumper.

without remove any part and from the top of engine bay
