Additive tank.

Featured Replies

Hello again

As you will see, I am very new to Skodas, and consequently - although I've had diesels in the past - very new to DPFs. My son has a Volvo diesel, also with a DPF, and he has had trouble recently with getting his additive tank topped up - which I gather is also tied up with the DPF.

My question is, does the Fabia 1.6 td have one of these tanks - I can't see one anywhere? My car is a 2014 model.

No.

No Adblue used no tank.

Many thanks for that - so nothing needs to be added to the fuel?

When there is a SCR System (AdBlue) it is not added to fuel, it is part of the emissions system.

(just so happens on some cars the filler for it is next to the Fuel Filler.)

Best not add 'Additives' like Millers to your fuel.

Maybe read up on the 'VW Emissions Fix'.

?

Has your car had this carried out?   If at a main Dealers in the past 2 years or so likely done.

If not done maybe avoid having done.
