Google Earth Gone!

Having just renewed my Skoda Connect contract for the princely sum of £44 for the year I was unable to access the Google earth feature on the maps. 2017 Octavia L&K.  A phone call to Skoda customer service would no doubt resolve the problem only to be told that Skoda and Google earth are no longer bed fellows and a licence for Google earth was no longer available. Somewhat disappointed at the lack of any information from Skoda, no alternative, tough. Anybody else suffered the same fate and is there a way to purchase a licence from Google?
